Abstract

The Legislature's State and Local Government Committee has said that the bills seeking secession votes for four of Portland's Casco Bay islands need more work, and that they will take another look at the issue in 1994. The committee decided that there wasn't enough time left in this legislative session to resolve legal issues and questions about financial issues.
