Abstract

The town of Freeport's Elderly Property Tax Assistance Program is designed to seek out and assist older residents who are having problems paying their taxes and help them steer clear of trouble. Town Councilor Edward Bradley proposed the helpful approach after a townwide revaluation showed how expensive it can be to own property in Freeport.
