Abstract

Maine Department of Agriculture Commissioner Bernard Shaw said he lacks the legal authority to mandate inspections for high-grade Maine potatoes. The proposed inspections were endorsed by the Maine Potato Board as a way to make Maine potatoes more appealing to consumers.
