Brief article reporting that the Maine Sheriffs' Association has agreed to a state Attorney General's Office request to refund the $40,000 the group raised during an illegal fund-raising campaign. The campaign offered individuals the chance to become members of the sheriff's group in exchange for a $20 donation.
