Abstract

An anlaysis of sea life and sediment near the wreck of the Empire Knight cargo ship showed that mercury levels were consistent with levels elsewhere in the Gulf of Maine. Salvagers working at the site 7 miles off the coast of York recovered 1,221 pounds of mercury. Details.
