Abstract

Seventeen million pounds of sea urchins were harvested in Maine during the first six months of 1993. This year's harvest will probably break last years record of 26.5 million pounds. In 1991, 20.5 million pounds of urchins were harvested, and 13.2 million pounds in 1990.
