Abstract

Maine municipal officials on Wednesday gathered at the Augusta Water Division's new filtration plant in East Winthrop to join in a national call for an end to unfunded federal mandates. The U.S. Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations has estimated the cost of federal mandates between 1983 and 1990 at between $9 billion and $12 billion. Details.
