Abstract

Dennis Gallant, a former drug agent with the North Myrtle Beach Police Department, was arrested at a Brewer motel on South Carolina charges of forgery, trafficking marijuana and embezzlement. Gallant, who received awards as Police Officer of the Year in 1978 and Public Safety Officer of the Year in 1985, waived extradition during a court hearing on Wednesday.
