Abstract

More than 3,000 people turned out for the grand opening of the new Children's Museum of Maine, now housed in Portland's former chamber of commerce building on Fore Street. The hands-on, state-of-the-art museum was made possible by a $2.5 million capital campaign and numerous volunteer hours.
