Abstract

In April 1989, Ron Nevers, 32, borrowed $65,000 and began doing print jobs and direct mailings as Printmail of Maine, which was then located in Portland's Riverside Industrial Park. In 1990 the operation moved to Preble Street, and in May 1991 Nevers bought out his original creditor and took on Mark Tordoff as a new partner. The company grossed just under $1 million by the end of its fourth year, and now has 31 full-time and 12 part-time employees at its Diamond Street location. Details.
