There are forty-eighte chapters of quilt-makers across the state of Maine. Although quilting remains a link with the past, many women are learning the skill anew. Details. Profiles of quilting teacher Janet Allen of Alfred; first grade quilter Alicia Soule of Kennebunkport; and Eunice McCabe, 82, of Lebanon, who learned to quilt five years ago.
