Abstract

James Morse, superintendent of the proposed Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone, remains undaunted by Gov. King's announcement that he wouldn't include funding for the magnet school in his budget. Morse said delaying the opening of the school for a year could result in the forfeiture of more than $2 million in federal and local grants, and that he is working with legislators to find money in the state budget for the school.
