Abstract

Belgrade contractor Robert McNaughton is considering a purchase of the Katahdin View Lodge on Chesuncook Lake, and has thought about installing an above-ground gasoline tank to help him earn a year-round living. Rumors have started that McNaughton planned to improve the seasonal road, develop a marina and construct a 1,000-gallon gasoline storage facility to serve snowmobilers and ice fishermen. The Chesuncook Village Association voted to make it clear that they oppose any move to open up road access to the remote area. Details.
