Abstract

Hannaford Bros. Co. has reached a tentative agreement with the King Administration to provide the state with a loaned executive who will work full time in assisting state agencies with upgrading computer technology. The Hannaford executive will be involved in distributing $28 million to set up transitions from mainframe databases to more modern systems. Charles Hewett, King's chief of staff, has proposed inviting L.L. Bean officials to critique state workers' benefit plans.
