Abstract

Charles MacArthur, 65, of Sangerville, grew a fidelo cucumber in a greenhouse heated entirely with recycled materials and sent it to eco-warrior Vice President Al Gore, who he believed would appreciate its significance. The greenhouse was heated last winter entirely on wood wastes, and supposedly contains a living banana tree within.
