Abstract
The faculty senate at Maine Maritime Academy last month passed resolutions calling for a reorganization of the school, a hiring policy for high-level administrators and a vote of no-confidence in Richard Ericson, vice president of finance and administration. Salaries for administration personnel at the school have been shown to be above national averages, while those of faculty members are below national averages. Low morale among faculty members at MMA is attributed to the salary disparities and the tensions of long contract negotiations. Details.
