Abstract

Proposed budget cuts could result in 25 fewer staffers at the Department of Environmental Protection next year, resulting in a department workforce that is at a level of 70 percent of what it was in 1986. But a new position would be created, dubbed a public assistance coordinator, who would be responsible for researchng and responding to public inquiries.
