Abstract

Ken Lantz, a junior high school computer teacher in Orrington, thought publishing a newspaper would be a good exercise for his students. Publication of the first Cardboard Chronicle earlier this year turned his eighth-graders into motivated journalists. Principal Jim White banned the paper, and Lantz resigned. Details.
