Abstract

Steve Butterfield, a labor negotiator for the Maine State Employees Association, says the King administration is not focused on the current negotiations, which are meant to replace the contract that expired June 30. Kenneth Walo, director of state employee relations for Gov. King, doesn't agree with Butterfield, and says negotiations are going well. A recent MSEA newsletter says the state's proposals contain reductions and take-backs, and suggests that negotiations aren't going as well as Walo says. Details.
