Abstract
The Maine Legislature's Business and Economic Development Committee last week reviewed a report on the matter of licensing naturopathic doctors. Dr. Richard Maurer and other naturopathic doctors seeking recognition met Thursday to see if they could recover from what they believe is a determined campaign against full licensing status. The Maine Medical Association opposes the measure to license the naturopaths. The original bill was deferred pending the study, and a new bill is still being drafted. Details.
