Abstract
"Practicum" piece on snowmobiling in Maine. The author says that snowmobile operators should be required to have valid motorcycle licenses and wear helmets; the police, not the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, should regulate snowmobiles and jet skis; and fuel-burning recreational vehicles should be heavily taxed.
