Abstract

Artist Brenda Nelson of Damariscotta has asked Rite Aid to consider a more acceptable architectural alternative to the company's standard building design. Rite aid is planning a new store on a strip mall on the outer limits of Damariscotta, and Nelson has written to project coordinator James Foote about an alternate design. Rite Aid spokesman Craig Muckle said that no final decision has been made on the Damariscotta building, but that the company is considering changes.
