Abstract

The Center for Grieving Children in Portland is gearing up for its fifth annual Pet Walk around Baxter Boulevard. The honorary guest this year will be photographer William Wegman, who will be on hand with his famous Weimaraners. Organizers hope to raise $30,000 in donations from the walk, and the money will go directly to support support groups, a program that helps families dealing with a serious illness, and outreach programs. Portland police chief Michael Chitwood will lead participants in a round of "Old McDonald Had a Farm," and an Elvis impersonator will do "You Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog."
