Abstract

State senator Dale McCormick, a Democratic candidate for the 1st District congressional seat, last week released the results of a poll showing that she and opponent Tom Allen each had 41 percent support. The poll, conducted by Martila and Kiley of Boston, concludes that the momentum in the race is clearly with McCormick. Christian Potholm of Bowdoin College questions the validity of the poll. Allen's campaign disputed the results of the poll, but has not done any formal polling of its own recently.
