Abstract

The Maine Choice Coalition helped draft the recently-passed bill which reaffirms a woman's right to an abortion, designing the bill to be as inclusive as possible and amendment-proof. The Maine bill mirrors the abortion rights established under Roe v. Wade, which sets few restrictions for women or physicians in the first trimester of pregnancy.
