Abstract

Gov. King believes a complete evaluation of the Maine Yankee nuclear power plant in Wiscasett is necessary to restore public confidence in the facility. Maine Yankee President Charles Frizzle asserts that the cost of such an evaluation would be between $7 million and $10 million, while King declared the evaluation would cost $500,000.
