An independent Cultural Assessment Team conducted a study at the Maine Yankee nu
An independent Cultural Assessment Team conducted a study at the Maine Yankee nuclear power plant in Wiscasset, and the group's report says that workers are discouraged from raising safety concerns for fear of retaliation from management. A copy of the group's report was sent to Friends of the Coast Opposing Nuclear Pollution, prompting Maine Yankee officials to release the report. The report says there is a belief among workers at the plant that the facility's survival is dependent on low cost and high production. Ray Shadis of Friends of the Coast claims the report highlights a serious lack of safety at Maine Yankee. Details.
