Abstract

Between 1978 and 1987 the Claude Dubois Excavating Company of Biddeford was charged with at least 15 violations ranging from filling wetlands to illegally dumping demolition debris to burning toxic waste. The company, with assets of $5.5 million, went bankrupt in July 1990, but Dubois is back in business under a different name and many officials are concerned.
