The Maine Supreme Judicial Court is expected to rule on the validity of a labor contract that was voided by Superior Court justice Leigh Saufley. Back wages for two years are estimated at $2 million. Biddeford mayor James Grattelo said the city would pay the back wages, but he remained confident that the contract will be ruled invalid by the Supreme Judicial Court. Details.
