Abstract

Gov. John E. McKernan has nominated William Nugent, president and chief executive officer of the Greater Portland Chamber of Commerce, to serve on the Public Utilities Commission. Nugent, with a pro-business background, would replace Cheryl Harrington, a strong advocate for consumer interests and the environment.
