Abstract
The Sunday River Cross Country Ski Center has recognized Martin Luther King Day for several years as a marketing ploy to attract skiers. Owners Steve and Peggy Wight hired Susan Isham two years ago as manager of the center. Isham, an African American, will offer educational programs about King's life and work. Isham has taken steps to get more African Americans and other minorities involved in skiing.
