Abstract
"Maine Perspectives" piece on the Maine Municipal Association's proposal to revamp the state tax code. The MMA has proposed a $20,000 homestead exemption and extending the six-percent sales tax to a broad range of services. Maine House Speaker Elizabeth Mitchell supports the plan.
