Abstract
The Baxter State Park Authority has added 2,669 acres to Baxter State Park, expanding the park to 204,733 acres. The addition is the second, and largest, since former governor Percival Baxter died in 1969. The Fin & Feather Club of Millinocket is already questioning whether traditional uses will continue on the parcel. The land was purchased from Great Northern Paper for $490,000, or $184 per acre.
