Abstract

"Seasonal Shifts" piece on Milburn Templeton, a poet who spent spring and summer in a shack in the woods of Washington County. Templeton hitchhiked every other day to read in the Bar Harbor library or the library at the College of the Atlantic. Templeton died recently at age 66, after living the last three years in a homemade shelter beneath an underpass in California.
