Abstract

The McLaughlin Foundation last week purchased to property of the late Bernard McLaughlin of South Paris. McLaughlin's garden, one of the last green spaces along the Route 26 commercial strip in South Paris, attracted attention from around the world. McLaughlin tried to give his property to a local historical society, but the effort failed. The foundation received a small grant from the National Trust for Historice Preservation.
