Abstract
The Maine Conservation Rights Institute held its seventh annual conference last month in Bangor. MECRI is dedicated to protecting Maine property rights from environmentalists and from the expansion of federal park lands. It advocates "wise use" over wilderness. MECRI and other such groups are a reaction to the environmental policymaking of the 1980s. Details.
