Abstract

Jeffrey Nims, code enforcement officer for Camden, found several shoreland zoning violations at the oceanfront estate of Charles Cawley, president of MBNA. Nims found that crews had excessively pruned oceanfront trees, and harvested trees within 75 feet of the normal high water mark. Nims said Cawley has had zoning trouble before, including permits not issued and a rear setback violation. Cawley is now proposing to build a pier at his new estate.
