Abstract
"Practicum" piece on the restoration of passenger train service between Portland and Boston. The Surface Transportation Board is scheduled to issue a decision this month in the mediation process between Guilford Transportation and Amtrak. Negotiations between Guilford and Amtrak failed over train operation on the old Maine Central line, which is owned by Guilford.
