Abstract

The Maine Audubon Society last week signed a compromise dredging plan with the town of Wells. If approved by the Maine Board of Environmental Protection, the plan calls for dredging that would provide anchorage for between 100 and 150 boats. The agreement is the first major breakthrough in the decade-long dredging debate.
