Abstract

"Maine Perspectives" piece on Gov. King's proposal to overhaul the state's corrections system. The $165 million plan would replace the current eight adult facilities with two, and replace the existing two juvenile facilities with two new ones. The author said the plan, which is being touted as a cost-saving measure, might end up costing more money.
