Abstract

Georgetown Island is said to have the normal mosquito population, as well as its own special strain that breeds in the marshes and in the saltwater pools left after every full moon tide. Peter W. Cox writes about owning a house in the area and of the unusual delay in the onset of the mosquito infestation this year.
