Abstract

Ellis Pond in Roxbury is in danger of hosting an algae bloom due to the amount of phosphorous entering the lake, prompting the residents of the town to consider a ban on clear-cutting by local logging operations. The proposed ban has now been tabled until a lake study can be completed and the source for the phosphorous can be scientifically determined. Details.
