Abstract

The Loring Commerce Center in Limestone might become a training site for the U.S. biathlon team if the community agrees to help fund the team's needs. Max Cobb, winter program manager for the U.S. Biathlon Association, said costs could reach $2 million and the association can't bear that expense alone. The U.S. Olympic Committee may provide some support for the team, which represents the U.S. at the Olympics and other competitions around the world. The Libra Foundation of Portland has funded an association study of the Limestone area as a training site.
