Abstract
Profile of Gia Comolli, a pianist, composer, and teacher. She came to Maine with her husband, violinist Dino Liva, when his string quartet, the DaPonte, was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts residency in Lincoln County four years ago. They have just bought a house in Bath, and Comolli teaches composition and theory to young people at the Portland Conservatory and in Damariscotta. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1986, when she was 21.
