Abstract

Bowater Inc. and the Maine Professional River Outfitters have come to an agreement on Bowater's dam relicensing efforts on the West Branch of the Penobscot River. The rafting organization has said it will support relicensing for the Bowater dams in exchange for water flow gauges at various locations, an information line for boaters and a return of water flow within three days of any dam shutdown.
