Abstract
The credit-card giant MBNA has announced another expansion that would create 2,300 new jobs in Maine over the next two years. But more than three-quarters of about 1,900 full-time jobs are the same Belfast positions MBNA first announced in 1997. And another 100 jobs comprise a third of the Presque Isle jobs first announced in 1997. The new news involves MBNA operations in Rockland, Farmington and Fort Kent, where the company is adding a total of 380 full-time and 320 part-time jobs.
