Abstract

Editorial urging the Land Use Regulation Commission, which is considering new gold dredging regulations focused on protecting Maine's rivers, to carefully consider the perspective of State Geologist Robert Marvinney who, in a companion "Reader Response" article, maintains that the dredging is unlikely to create any significant siltation of streams or erosion of streambanks.
