Abstract

"News & Issues" piece on some of Maine's state parks, including the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, which are now open to hunting and trapping, except during the busy summer visitor season between May 1 and Sept. 30. Public hearings were held in Bangor and Augusta, with ITV hookups at five locations. No one showed up at the hearing sites, and only four people attended via ITV. With a list of state historic sites, memorials and parks where hunting is not permitted at any time.
