Abstract

"News & Issues" piece on a poll commissioned by Maine Times, which found strong support for a state board to control prescription drug prices. Nearly 300 or 72 percent of the 401 residents surveyed said they favor the state setting a maximum for drug prices through a government agency. A bill to establish a rate-setting board was passed by the Legislature last week; Gov. Angus King is undecided about whether he will sign it. With other related information and statistics.
