"News & Issues" piece on Jonathan Metcalf of Farmington who is challenging authorities for summoning his 17-year-old son for possession of tobacco by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. The boy has already served a one-week suspension from Mount Blue High School and faces a possible $100 fine, in what his father calls a case of "profiling." Metcalf claims his son fell under suspicion as a drug user because he was wearing a colorful, knit skull cap. The principal at Mount Blue declined to discuss the specifics of the case, but denies profiling is used to catch drug users.
